Our Work

Digital Skills Project

Developed in collaboration with TIES Canada, this ongoing pilot project equips our university scholars with practical digital skills to enhance employability and create income-generating opportunities in the growing online economy.

Unemployment remains a challenge for Kenyan graduates. Through targeted training, we help our girls transform academic knowledge into real-world digital products and services — from freelance gigs to remote work.

Specific Objectives

Entrepreneurship & Income Generation

Since 2023, our 13 members have been contributing 50 KES monthly (totaling ~7,800 KES annually) toward seed capital for community-based businesses. These internal savings demonstrate our commitment to self-reliance while we seek external partners to scale impact.

Profitable ventures will create sustainable jobs — prioritizing women and youth — and generate income to support families’ basic needs (food, shelter, healthcare). Long-term, we aim for multiplier effects across local economies, starting with one empowered young woman giving back.

Current business ideas under consideration: potato farming, poultry keeping, beauty products retail.
