Our Partners

We are proud to collaborate with organizations that share our vision for empowering education and community development in Kenya. These partnerships enable us to extend our reach, provide scholarships, digital skills training, and entrepreneurial opportunities to young women from financially challenged backgrounds. Through these collaborations, we have sponsored 11 university students, with our first graduates in 2024, and continue to expand our impact on breaking the cycle of poverty.

TIES Canada Logo

TIES Canada

TIES Canada is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to advancing education in developing countries. TIES has been our program donor since September 2021, when the TIES Kenya University sponsorship program began in Kenya. What began as a pilot project has continued for 4 years now. What a blessing! The funding has enabled us to provide scholarships to 13 girls and young women in Kenya, so far. They also support our Digital Skills Project (DSP), which has opened up prospects for our girls and members for learning (online courses) through partners like ALX Africa. Most significantly is that funds from the DSP project facilitated us to have our website, paying for the website domain and hosting charges. The initial website was designed and developed by one of the girls- our very own Anifa, a Computer Science student in Meru University of Science and Technology. She utilized her skills and earned some income from that. That is the spirit and vision the program! TIES Canada has been our greatest supporter and funding partner. We are incredibly grateful for this partnership; for what we have achieved together, committed to what we are currently doing and excited and hopeful for what lies ahead.

GlobalGiving

GlobalGiving is a leading global crowdfunding platform that connects donors with grassroots projects. Through their support, we have raised over $ 134 so far, out of our total target of $ 12,000 for our Kenya University Scholarships Project, funding additional scholarships for young women facing financial hardships. This partnership amplifies our fundraising efforts, ensuring sustainable education access and empowering beneficiaries to contribute to their communities’ post-graduation. Equally important is the training they have provided for us, specifically in fundraising and community engagement. Oh yes, we participated in the Bridge Program training in 2023, and the Lightful Platform has been incredibly helpful in developing and improving our storytelling and content creation for social media engagement with our supporters. A big thanks to GlobalGiving for offering us a community of support and learning, and a fundraising platform.

AVSI Kenya Logo

AVSI Kenya

Our linkage and partnership with AVSI Kenya is so organic and natural. Most of the TIES Kenya university program beneficiaries are AVSI alumni under their Distance Support Program (DSP). We (including the TIES Kenya Program Manager, Sarah) were sponsored and supported by AVSI through the DSP for our high school education. So it only made sense that when our university sponsorship program started in 2021, that we reached out to AVSI. Because they only fund students up to high school, so TIES Kenya simply continued and extended that to universities. Our relationship has been fruitful so far, with 9 out of our 13 beneficiaries being referred from AVSI. We are excited to continue this relationship given our mutual interest in advancing education for girls in Kenya.
